what does the statement mean to us.....the statement is all about the Ethics present in the today's world
That is what the companies doing in the realty and what they are showing to world.
As Ethics is all about "what is right and what is wrong" that mean doing anything parallel to the right things/way/behaviour/law/action....in the business environment will be termed as ethical but when the opposite of it is done for just the sake of earning more profit or goodwill that will be something which is wrong in the perspective of ethics and termed as unethical

Why the companies do unethical thing..... Are they forced by the business situations to do so Or just playing with their business mind in the environment in which they get opportunities....opportunities....and opportunities to earn more to expand more ignoring all the negative or unethical aspects

The major reason for all these unethical decision/behaviour/situations is PROFIT/MONEY 

which make a business man to go unethically because the main perspective of most of the business man is that "PROFIT AND ETHICS WON'T GO TOGETHER" 

BUT
That is not what the realty is.... In this modern world where ethics is not the first thing come to the mind of a business man,where everyone is profit oriented.....There are some companies which have change the definition of  business,which have change the common perspective of  business men that is instead of PROFIT we should go for "Ethical Profit"

The best example is STARBUCKS  which is one of the most ethical company in the world


 
Hence, there are still some companies holding the values of ethics .....Who posses on something called as Real Ethics, who do the Right Things, who follow the Right Path and who do earn the Ethical profit
